Stay At Home Order Guardians Info

April 1, 2020

To Whom it May Concern:

We are wanting to take this opportunity to reach out to inform you of some necessary changes that have been made due to the state wide, Stay At Home Order put forth by Governor Laura Kelly, who declared on March 24, 2020 that several sectors providing essential services may remain open, and the work of the employees of these sectors must be enabled to continue unabated. Health care and human services facilities and organizations, such as Residential Solutions are included in the Governor’s list as being essential to the public.

Our top priority is our Residents and our Direct Care Staff that are taking care of our Residents 24-7, by providing a clean, safe and meaningful environment that will help them through a pandemic that none of us have ever experienced before. During this unforeseen time, it has raised awareness and knowledge of what is needed to be done to ensure the safety for our Residents.

The following changes have been implemented and will remain in effect through April, 30th 2020:

  • Only verified Direct Care Staff and personnel is allowed inside the Residents home.

  • Household maintenance is only scheduled for Emergency Issues. (HVAC, Water Heater, anything that would cause structural damage.) Contractors will be instructed to wear gloves, mask and shoe covers.

  • Any/all items delivered to the home will be communicated with Direct Care Staff, Fonda Hendrix, Amy Randall or Brandon Walker prior to delivery and placed in a plastic tote located outside, for up to (3) three hours prior to going into the house. Due to potential urgency, any of the above listed have authorization to declare a change in this time schedule.

  • Residents have a Life Enrichment Day schedule Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm, in place of attending the Activity Center.

  • Residents can exercise outdoors with the ordered social distancing guidance.

  • Residents will be encouraged to go for Drives around the community and to visit family to say/wave hello from a distance.

  • Daily sanitization is taking place inside the household, multiple times daily.

We are aware that change can be difficult, this is clearly a challenging time for everyone. We assure you; we are and will continue to provide the best service for your loved one(s).

We appreciate your support and Thank You to many of you that have taken the time to reach out to see how we are doing. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!!

Respectfully,

Brandon Walker
